Insight to increase ease of use

The main source of income for Sdu is the sale of subscriptions for its online products, such as ndfr.nl and opmaat.sdu.nl. Among other things, these products help lawyers do their jobs more efficiently. Ease of use is essential in this regard. Collecting and analyzing usage data provides insight into where improvement is possible and desirable. And satisfied users are passing it on: the number of subscriptions is growing.

i-spark as an external Data Team

With innovative software, online products, training, and content, Sdu supports professionals who actively apply laws and regulations in their daily work. To make this support more effective, Sdu wants to gain insight into how these products and services are used. i-spark assists Sdu in this endeavor by collaborating with Sdu's Marketing Intelligence Team.

About us

Utilization of Various Disciplines

I-spark supports Sdu’s data team and brings expertise as an external party in the field of online data. We capture web statistics and ensure the automated delivery of the data that Sdu wants to report on, as well as analyze those data. This encompasses various disciplines: data engineering, data analysis, and (technical) web analysis. We act as an external Data Team for Sdu, which is why we also refer to ourselves as ‘Data Team as a Service.’

Partnership and Co-creation

Sdu prioritizes co-creation and partnership with both customers and suppliers, just like i-spark. Perhaps that connection is the secret behind the longstanding collaboration between i-spark and Sdu. Since i-spark’s inception, we have been Sdu’s data partner.

Technologies

This is what i-spark has done for Sdu so far:

Together with Sdu’s data team, we have significantly professionalized data solutions, including:

Co-implementing an advanced Consent Management Platform (Liveramp) and applying consents to data collection.

Integrating web statistics with transaction data in the data warehouse, fully compliant.

Standardizing data collection across Sdu’s various products using Google Tag Manager.

Implementing Snowplow as a web analytics tool and developing a custom data model.

Conducting analyses that provide insight into the contribution of marketing activities to results (e.g., conversion attribution analysis) or highlight events that cause customer churn (churn analysis).
